Un record Ferrari pour Gooding à Scottsdale

On s’attendait à ce que Gooding & Co effectue un gros début de saison ce week-end à Scottsdale. La maison de vente américaine n’a pas déçu en signant le meilleur résultat de la semaine de Scottsdale avec pas moins de 97% de ventes (seulement 3 lots n’ont pas trouvé preneur), 23 lots dépassant les 500.000 $ (dont 6 à plus de 1 millions et 6 à plus de 2 millions !) et un résultat total de 52,5 millions de dollars (39,4 millions d’euros). Gooding en a surtout profité pour pulvériser le record établi en février 2012 par Artcurial en adjugeant une Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider à 8,25m$ (6,2m€, soit presque 2 millions de plus que le précédent record !).

Bons résultats

Parmi les très bons résultats, on note la belle performance de la Ferrari F50 (1,375 m$ - 1,03 m€) qui prouve que la rareté prime sur les qualités intrinsèques pour ce genre d’engins. Si la Bugatti Type 57C Atalante dépasse légèrement son estimation avec 2m$ (1,5 m€), la Mercedes 500 K termine exactement au milieu avec 2,75 m$ (2,06m€). Le prototype de Maserati 150 GT Spider passe juste son prix de réserve avec un coup de marteau à 3,08 m$ (2,31 m€). A l’inverse, la superbe Porsche 718 RSK frôle son plafond avec une enchère finale de 3,13 m$ (2,36m€). Signalons également les résultats des Aston Martin DB5 et Mercedes 300 SL Roadster.

Ferrari FF Tears Up The Goodwood Festival of Speed Hill Climb


James Martin, famous TV personality and celebrity chef piloted the Ferrari FF during the famous 1.16-mile long Goodwood Festival of Speed uphill race.
In the video, James Martin tears up the hill shifting gears like a mad man. The car seems to be very poised and balanced through the turns. At the end of the two minute long video Mr. Martin goes over the positive aspects of the Ferrari.
The FF is the successor to the 612 Scagliettei, offers a generous amount of cargo room, and has a wagon-like design. Even with its quasi-wagon body-style, the car sports a 6.3-liter V12 engine with 651-hp and 504 lb-ft of torque allowing a 0-62 mph time of just 3.7 seconds.

Ferrari Officially Debuts In India

NEW DELHI - May 26, 2011: Starting from today all the Ferrari enthusiasts and clients in India can count on the official presence of Ferrari in the country, 58th market of the Prancing Horse, as the first dealership in the heart of New Delhi opens its doors. The Grand Opening, dedicated to the local and international medias, was hosted by Ferrari CEO Amedeo Felisa, Ferrari Commercial and Marketing Director Enrico Galliera, and Ashish Chordia, Chairman of the Shreyans Group, the Ferrari importer for the country. The Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro drivers, Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa, already in Monte Carlo for the next race, sent their greetings to the guests through a video message, looking forward to coming to India in October for the first Indian GP.
The street facing the New Delhi location was panelled for the occasion with great images of the Ferrari past and present, to tell the story of the passion, the races and the style. The special preview for the medias was held in the over 500 square metres on two levels of the dealership, with the ground floor entirely dedicated to the range, and the personalization area to support the client to uniquely configure their new Ferrari.
During the meeting with the press, Felisa said: “Our objective was to launch the Indian market in 2011 and it 's a pleasure to inaugurate this first dealership here today. We feel that this is the right moment, considering the dynamism of the country and its economy. Here in India you feel great enthusiasm and a strong connection to the Ferrari brand, which, even before officially entering India, had already around 50 clients in the country. Naturally the entire range will be available on this market, imported by the Shreyans Group, the partner we've chosen and who shares with us not just the desire to invest, but also the passion for Ferrari and its values.”
