Let´s talk about Cars: Elektromobilität, Vorurteile, Vorteile, Nachteile und der neue Nissan Leaf. Zusammen mit Daniel Bönnighausen bin ich den neuen Nissan Leaf gefahren, der ab 2016 in den Handel kommt. Dieses Modell verfügt nun über ein neues Infotainment-System und vor allem optional über eine 30 kWh-Batterie. Damit schafft der Nissan Leaf, laut NEFZ, eine Reichweite von 250 km. 170 realistische dürften also drin sein, mindestens 120.
Wir sind den Nissan Leaf im Umland von Nizza und Monaco gefahren, Berg rauf, Berg runter und dabei haben wir etwas über das Thema Elekromobilität, aber natürlich auch über den neuen Nissan Leaf siniert. Viel Spaß bei den nachfolgenden 42 Minuten.

Renault opens bookings for Kwid

NEW DELHI: Bookings for Renault Kwid, the upcoming small car by the French car maker, has been opened in select cities. The car, which is expected to be launched in time for the festive season, can be booked for an amount of Rs 25,000 to Rs 45,000, depending on the location of the dealer.

The entry level hatchback from Renault was unveiled in May this year in Chennai. The car is expected to be priced between Rs 3 lakh to Rs 4 lakh. The company has informed that localisation level in the car is close to 98 percent, which will help it price the vehicle competitively.

Kwid will be powered by three-cylinder 800cc engine which has been developed under Renault-Nissan alliance. It will also be the first car on the new CMF-A platform.

Renault at present has Pulse, Duster, Lodgy, Fluence and Koleos in its portfolio in India. While Duster and Lodgy have fared well, automaker's other cars have failed to garner expected numbers.

The front bumper of the new A-Class has become exactly like the one that was at the concept of the same name in 2011, a new false radiator grille as an option is now available in full-LED headlights, the rear lights are now not so much resemble a piece of soap, and changed the exhaust pipe rear amp. Updated Mercedes-Benz A-Class finally got an adjustable chassis Dynamic Select, which can operate in four modes: Comfort, Sport, Eco and Individual. The last driver himself sets the parameters of the various vehicle systems (steering, engine, suspension). Dynamic Select will be included in a list of basic equipment version A 200 d 4MATIC, A 220 4MATIC, A 220 d, A 220 d 4MATIC, A 250 4MATIC, A 250 Sport and the A 250 Sport 4MATIC, and for all hatchbacks with transmission 7G-DCT , body kit AMG Line or lowered suspension. By the way, Dynamic Select at the A 45 4MATIC mode instead of Eco - mode Sport +.
By the way, all of these changes, for sure, will soon appear on sedans Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class crossovers and GLA-Class.

Mitsubishi’s 2016 Pajero Sport SUV Struts Its Rugged New Suit

In recent years, Mitsubishi has rather languished into obscurity; apart from the rally-bred Evolution X, there’s nothing in their lineup that I would call remotely desirable. 

The Mirage is cheap and awful, the Lancer is past its shelf expiry date; Pajero/Montero? - well that SUV makes the Lancer look fresh. Other offerings like theASX/Outlander SportOutlander and new Triton/L200 ute are the only vehicles luring buyers back to the Japanese carmaker. 

However, all is not lost; Mitsubishi are aware of their predicament and are hard at work developing new models to draw punters back to diamond-badged brand. One of these vehicles in particular is the all-newChallenger/Pajero Sport SUV - recently leaked online in ‘patent cgi’ form. It’s a vehicle that’s likely to do well for Mitsubishi, so I’ve taken an extended and illustrated look at what to expect.

Dynamic Shield Design:

One of the changes that Mitsubishi are making to lure punters back is employing a new ‘dynamic’ design language. Inspired by the GC-PHEV Concept, the new styling direction will help strengthen brand identity with more consistent aesthetics across the automaker’s lineup. 

For Challenger/Pajero Sport, the change starts with a new ‘Dynamic Shield’ front fascia. This embodies a very dominant upright chrome grille which curves inwards from the lower headlamps, then back-arcs outwards just above the fog lamps.  
As the fundamentals are shared with the new Triton / L200 truck, it retains that vehicle’s fender creases, front doors, hood, and windscreen.

On The Inside:

Much of the interior trim is also expected to be shared with the Triton, with exception of different trims and finishes. Compared with the out-going Pajero/Montero Sport, there’s more leg room and the cabin itself is bigger almost in every aspect. 

Expect flappy paddles - as seen in the Lancer and ASX; other goodies will also likely mirror the Triton’s. So cue push-button start, auto headlights, rain-sensing wipers, electric front seats, 6” touch screen with reversing camera and satellite navigation. 

What Could Drive It:

Powering it will be Mitsubishi’s new 2.4L MIVEC inter-cooled turbo diesel engine, that pumps out 135kW/181 horses of power and 437Nm/322 foot pounds of torque. Announcement of any petrol V6 versions will most likely be made further down the line. 

Power will be fed via new 6-speed manual and 5 speed automatic transmissions through Mitsubishi’s new generation Super Select 4WD II system. This has four driving modes including an locked 4WD mode. Torque distribution is split 40/60 front/rear in full time 4WD mode for improved handling. 

Market Positioning

As the Pajero Sport is pickup-based, its closest direct rivals are mainly found in Asia-Pacific and some European markets. These are the Toyota FortunerFord EverestHolden Colorado7/Isuzu MUX and Nissan’s newNavara-based SUV which is tipped to be currently in development. 

Don’t expect BMW X5-like handling dynamics as the Mitsubishi will be competing in a 7-seat SUV segment that’s more value orientated than the pinnacle of refinement. However if it looks good enough then it might just pull more punters back to the stagnant Japanese carmaker. A full reveal is tipped for later this year as a MY2016 model.

La Volkswagen e-Up! dès cette année?


Malgré le succès encore très relatif des véhicules électriques, les constructeurs y viennent tous. Volkswagen devrait en faire partie dès cette année.

Si les véhicules électriques ne connaissent pas un succès fou, il semble aujourd’hui indispensable aux constructeurs d’en proposer au moins 1 dans leur gamme, notamment pour des questions d’émissions de CO2 globales de leur catalogue. Volkswagen est évidemment dans cette démarche. Et si la Golf Blue-e-Motion devrait être l’une des propositions de la marque à terme, il semblerait que la première étape pour le constructeur soit le lancement de la version électrique de sa mini-citadine, la e-Up!. En effet, Volkswagen aurait confirmé la présentation de cette dernière pour le courant de l’année 2013. Et quelques infos ont fait leur apparition au passage sur la toile.

40 minutes pour 80%

En matière de style et de technique, la petite électrique sera vraisemblablement très proche duconcept présenté lors du salon de Francfort 2011. On parle donc d’un moteur de 59kW (82 ch) alimenté par des batteries lithium-ion lui offrant une autonomie comprise entre 130 et 150 km. La vitesse de pointe serait d’environ 130 km/h et le temps de charge pourrait aller de 40 minutes sur un système haute capacité pour 80% de la batterie à 6h pour une charge complète sur une prise classique.

Location

Jusque-là, donc, rien de bien étonnant. C’est plutôt du côté de la facture que les choses vont prendre une tournure plus inhabituelle. En effet, si on parle d’un tarif de 19.000 € avant déduction des aides et bonus, les rumeurs indiquent que Volkswagen songerait à suivre la démarche de Renault concernant le pack de batteries. Il s’agirait ainsi d’une location avec loyer mensuel en fonction du kilométrage. Un citadin classique pourrait ainsi avoir à débourser une soixantaine d’euros par mois pour profiter de sa Volkswagen e-Up!.

La version de série de la Up! électrique sera présentée dans le courant de l’année et mise sur le marché dans la première moitié de 2014.
